A must reading for the naive.

Decades ago therapist thought that incest was one in a million so why study it because they would not likely ever run into a case. When they started looking they found far more than expected. I see this book Female Sexual Abuse of Children" as a companion to "A Mother's Touch" by Julie A Brand M.S. where she shares studies and the public reluctance to accept or even hear someone suggest that a mother, - in my case a grand mother and with her it was her mother that abused her sexually - would do such a thing as sexually abuse a child. I have studied this topic and although it's somewhat rare, it's not rare enough and it's just one of the ways that mothers harm children that is so far hidden as feminist discuss gender violence. A child is more likely to be abused under a mother's care than a fathers care. Few know that. We discuss Dead Beat Dads when it's mother's who are more likely not to comply with court orders for child support. Few know that. Those willing to look will find not only more sexual abuse of children than expected from women; they will see that women also sexually abuse men and other women. I have a letter from a lesbian working for CA sexual violence teams, years ago, clearly stating that lesbian couples have more DV than the public suspects and she was raped by her partner. When I share that with others they are shocked. The secret feminist claim to possess about male violence is not a secret; it's women's violence they hide.
