in reallity a monograph for the applied mathematicians - contains a paucity of practical content or results. however, for the afficiandos of the heat conduction equation an extension of good old c&j ! the confusing part is the insistence on providing results of initial value problems in Laplace space without numerical results in real space and time - the Stehfest inversion is not available to everyone to this day. a possibly important point is the adoption of an incomplete pde for three-dimensional problems where significant vertical flows are guaranteed.
